Every Community Needs a Table

The Maker’s Table is a free traveling gathering where people come together around cloth, thread, making and conversation.

There is no required skill, no perfect finished object, and no pressure to produce. You might stitch, mend, knit, draw, share a textile story or simply drink tea and see what begins.

This is not quite a craft class. Through a series of gentle prompts, we practice thinking with cloth: noticing what a material suggests, remembers, resists or makes possible. Textiles become participants in the conversation, helping us tell stories, meet one another differently and discover thoughts that may not have arrived through words alone.

Everyone leaves carrying three things: something made alone, something made together and something given by another person.

Each Table is shaped by the people, materials and histories already present in its place.
